Professor Charlotte Mørtz is Professor at the Department of Dermatology and Allergy Centre, Odense University Hospital (OUH). She graduated with an MD from the University of Southern Denmark in 1995, and with a PhD from the same university in 2000. She qualified as a dermatologist in 2007 and was appointed Associate Professor in 2011, also at the University of Southern Denmark. She qualified as a specialist in allergology in 2013 and was appointed Professor in Clinical Allergology in 2016 and in Dermatology and Allergology in 2021.
She has supervised 14 PhD students, has over 130 publications and 8 book chapters. She was the co-editor of the Global Atlas of Skin Allergy, European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, 2019. She was the main author in Hypersensitivity and Allergy in “Medicinsk Compendium” in 2024. She has delivered over 180 lectures nationally and internationally.
Professor Mørtz has been the Associate Editor of Clinical and Translational Allergy since 2021. Other career highlights have included being Chair, Danish Society of Allergology since 2021. She has also been involved in several clinical trials as both Principal Investigator and as a sub-investigator including in atopic dermatitis, food allergy and contact allergy.
